The long Piste Map is about 18km from Les Houches to Le Tour. There are 6 main ski areas, plus Courmayeur in Italy and the massive area of St.Gervais/Megeve are included on the Mont Blanc ski pass making this one of the largest ski area's in France.

Les Houches 1000m-1900m
A pretty, rural and unspoilt ski village just 5km from Chamonix town.
Les Houches is probably the largest pisted single area in the Piste Map and has the added bonus of 86 snow canons covering 23 hectares of piste. Les Houches has wonderful skiing for beginners, intermediates and great for families.
1 black run (The renowned World Cup downhill run Kandahar!) 12 reds and 9 other runs, surrounded by forests of pine and larch make it the ideal destination on bad weather days.

Chamonix's Skiing 1800m-2525m
Brevent just above Chamonix town links with La Flegere. Mont-Blanc can be seen from the top and it has 2525m of skiing. Le Brevent has a few green runs and both Brevent and La Flegere ski area's are south facing with 5 red runs each, several blues and some great off-piste terrain.

Argentiere 2000m - 3300m
8km from Chamonix, Argentiere provides testing mogul fields and wide open bowls interspersed with steep pistes, endless off-pistes options and a season which runs until May!. Intermediates will enjoy the main red run 'Le Bochard' and 'Le piste d'en bas'.

Le Tour
Le Tour at the far end of the Piste Map is great for beginners or novice snow boarders with plenty of long blues and reds. Some of the highest snow falls in France. An addition of a chair lift and Piste Map running down the back of Le Tour towards Vallorcine makes for some interesting off-piste possibilities.

Valley Blanche
Competent intermediates can enjoy this memorable guided tour of the famous 21 km Piste Map run. Accessed by the highest cable car station in Europe the Aiguille du Midi offering superb panoramic views. Your mountain guide (a must) will ensure your safety and ensure you have a great day out skiing through amazing seracs, towers of ice and along narrow tracks that cross over spectacular but potentially dangerous crevasses.

Les Planards (1062 m - 1242 m)
Two minutes from the centre of town this large ski area is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers with 1 red, 1 blue and 2 greens. Restaurant, sun terrace and free parking.

Sunny slopes are ideal beginner skiers and snowboarders, as for little ones (ski kindergarten run by the ski school).

Le Savoy (1049 m) Beginners skiing
In centre of Chamonix, at the foot of the Brevent, 2 drag lifts and a rolling carpet welcome beginners and children for their first steps.
